With the Ontario municipal election happening in October 2026, this is the moment when many women first start hearing the question: “Could I do this?”
Run Where You Are: Say Yes! is a high-energy, storytelling-based event designed to support women who are in that exact moment. Not yet campaigning. Not yet trained. Just listening to the call and deciding what it might mean.
We’re bringing together women who have said yes to public office — from different regions, backgrounds, and life realities — to share what that decision actually looked like for them. Because there is no single path into politics, and no single way to say yes.
Whether you’re just curious, actively considering a run, or wondering what support exists if you did decide to go for it, this event meets you where you are.

Each speaker will answer:
Where were you in your life when you first thought, “Maybe me?”
What helped you finally say yes?
What changed after you said yes — in your life, your community, or your sense of self?

A quick introduction to the regional women-in-politics organizations co-hosting the event, including upcoming campaign schools, info sessions, and local pathways for women considering a 2026 run.

Facilitated small-group conversations by shared themes, giving you space to ask questions, connect with others in a similar place, and explore what a next step could look like.
