Your City Your Voice can connect you to information, resources, and like-minded people to demystify and support you in becoming a candidate for councillor or mayor in Greater Sudbury. Your City Your Voice is open to all. We especially encourage Black, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQ+, women, gender diverse, and young people to participate.
Learn what it takes to run for City Council in the October 2026 municipal election! Join us on Thursday, June 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Downtown Library (74 Mackenzie St) for a free workshop covering the role, election process, and how to take your first steps as a candidate. Registration is encouraged.
Nominations are now open, and you can put in your name to run for Council up to August 21.
