PoliticsNOW helps women across Northern Ontario step into public leadership.
Whether you're thinking about running for municipal office, serving on a board, or simply looking to grow your leadership skills, our programs provide practical training, supportive community, and the confidence to lead.
Since 2017, we've supported more than 80 campaigns, helped elect 60 women to municipal office, and trained hundreds of women through workshops, bootcamps, and leadership programs.

The Facts
Women only hold 31% of municipal council seats.
We have 9 cities in northern Ontario. Those cities have 85 available city council positions. Women only hold 26 of these seats. Timmins is the only city to have elected a woman mayor.
