This resource was created by our founder, Amanda Kingsley Malo. Amanda is a K-12 teacher with twelve years of experience creating effective and engaging resources for her students, and she brought that expertise to this workbook. She combined that with the decade of knowledge that she acquired from working on federal and municipal campaigns. In the workbook, you’ll find checklists, reflection exercises, roadmaps, and guiding activities to help you work through everything you need to do before you hand in your nomination papers. She also knows that everybody learns differently, and made sure to include extra enrichment resources such as videos, podcasts, and articles from other experts in the industry.

Please do! It would be best if you used this workbook in whatever way you feel most comfortable. If you want to print it and write on it, that works. If you prefer using a PDF program and typing directly into the workbook, you can do that too! The author’s favourite way to access it is on her iPad, where she uses her Apple Pen to fill it out. The possibilities are endless, and you should use them in whatever works best for you.
