Press Release: PoliticsNOW Launches Free Campaign Hub to Support Women Candidates in Ontario’s 2026 Municipal Election
IMMEDIATE RELEASE GREATER SUDBURY, ON — September 9, 2026 — PoliticsNOW has launched a free, private Campaign Hub to support women who have officially filed to run in Ontario’s 2026 municipal election.
More than 33 women joined the Hub during its first two weeks, following an informal rollout through word of mouth, social media, and the PoliticsNOW newsletter.
The Campaign Hub provides candidates with practical, on-demand support throughout the campaign, including short training videos, campaign tools, worksheets, live Campaign Q&As, and recordings of past sessions. New resources will continue to be added in response to candidates’ questions and needs leading up to Election Day on October 26, 2026.
Unlike a traditional campaign school, the Hub is designed to give candidates access to specific information and support when they need it.
“Campaigns do not happen on a neat schedule, and candidates do not all need the same support at the same time,” says Amanda Kingsley Malo, Founder of PoliticsNOW. “The Campaign Hub is about meeting women where they are — whether they need help with a specific campaign task, are trying to understand what comes next, or simply want reassurance that they are not doing this alone. We want candidates to have practical resources they can access when they need them, in a way that works for their campaigns and their lives.”
PoliticsNOW will also continue offering live programming for women candidates throughout the campaign, including live Campaign Q&As, campaign office hours, and opportunities to connect directly with PoliticsNOW and with one another.
“Running for office is a huge undertaking, no matter if you’re doing it for the first time or the tenth time,” continues Kingsley Malo. “Candidates should not have to wait for the next workshop or try to figure everything out on their own. This year, we are combining practical online resources with live support and opportunities to connect so women candidates feel supported throughout their campaigns.”
Live campaign office hours will give candidates dedicated opportunities to ask questions, talk through campaign challenges, and receive guidance as they move through the election period. Together with the Campaign Hub, these events are designed to ensure women candidates have access to the information, resources, and community support they need when it is most useful.

Women candidates are also encouraged to connect directly with PoliticsNOW to learn about upcoming Campaign Q&As, campaign office hours, and other programming.
The Campaign Hub builds on PoliticsNOW’s work since 2017 to increase women’s participation in municipal politics through campaign training, practical resources, mentorship, and community support — work that has contributed to 60 women being elected across Ontario over the course of two municipal elections.
