Kathy Hamer

Kathy is a full-time nurse at West Parry Sound Health Centre, serving the community for over 18 years in this role. She has over 20 years of experience serving on community boards and has gained governance skills. She has a passion for education and contributes to the learning of healthcare staff by organizing education rounds at her workplace. Kathy also serves on the McDougall Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter.

Lori Paras

Lori Paras is a seasoned entrepreneur, a social activist, who currently owns and operates The Hub Bazaar, a retail business incubator that provides affordable space for entrepreneurs to proof their business plans. Located on the south side of the city, this area is in the process of revitalization and The Hub is actively participating in this endeavour. Ms. Paras also participated in the revitalization of downtown Port Arthur establishing and operating her restaurant Ruby Moon for seven years. She is proud of her contribution on the north side of the Thunder Bay and is committed to its continued development. She is running for Councillor in Thunder Bay, ON.

Sharon Scott

Sharon Scott was born in the Donovan. She is the fourth youngest of 14 children and her parents, and most of her family, still live in the Donovan. She has four children and a grand-daughter; her two youngest will be entering post secondary school in the fall. She spent some time in B.C. where she was an assistant manager and a book keeper at a grocery store. She is currently a driver for handi-transit but, in the past, she drove a school bus for special needs children. She volunteered for Our Children Our Future for 10 years, organizing activities for preschool children and prenatal nutritional information for expectant mothers. In her spare time, Sharon is an author and published a childrens story book in 2012. She is running for Ward 4 in Sudbury, ON.
